Sandi’s husband Tom was diagnosed with EC in December of 2012 and he died just a few months later, in March of 2013. He was only 63.

Tom was a retired firefighter, having worked with the City of Upland for more than 27 years and was proud to be a husband to Sandi for more than 37 years, a father to three amazing grown children, and grandfather to one boy.

Sandi hopes that if she can spread the word that “Heartburn Causes Cancer” and prevent even one person from having to go through what her husband and thousands of others have she will be the “happiest person on earth.”
