Megan got involved with ECAN shortly after her father was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer. He had suffered with acid reflux for decades but because of the general lack of awareness about the correlation between heartburn and cancer he was not treated until the condition had gone too far.

After aggressive treatment, Megan is happy to report that her father has been cancer free for more than two years and she is looking forward to managing the logistics of the Stories to Save Lives events in May. She believes that it will not only bring awareness to the causes of Esophageal Cancer but excitement to Los Angeles.
