In January of 2013, Brandon’s brother was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage IV EC which spread to his liver. He is happy to report that the cancerous cells have subsided and he is well on his way to recovery. However, while the cancer manifested itself rather rapidly, the warning signs were there long before — acid-reflux, heartburn, etc. Had he, or anyone close to him, known to screen for EC back when these symptoms initially surfaced, he would have had an opportunity to address this much earlier on.

Brandon believes that ECAN is an excellent organization with a powerful message and he feels privileged to be involved.
